What is a brow lift and who is it for?

The endoscopic brow lift, also known as a minimal-incision brow lift, raises drooping eyebrows and rejuvenates the eye area.

As an international reference center in facial plastic surgery, at IDB we see patients every day who want to restore vitality to their eyes. The brow lift is the key procedure for correcting a tired or sad appearance, but not every face needs the same technique.

There are two main ways to approach it: the traditional brow lift and the endoscopic brow lift, our specialty because of its minimally invasive nature.

What is a brow lift?

A brow lift is a surgical procedure to raise the brow arch. Over time, the tissues of the forehead lose firmness, the eyebrow descends and excess skin appears on the upper eyelid. At our clinic we use the endoscopic brow lift, a technique with micro-cameras that makes it possible to work through millimeter-sized incisions hidden in the hair, without large cuts.

Overall repositioning: in addition to raising the eyebrow, the entire forehead and the temples are tightened.

Outpatient surgery: it is a quick process that allows the patient to go home the same day, with no hospital stay.

Who is a brow lift for?

There is no fixed age for this procedure, since a drooping brow can be genetic or the result of aging. At IDB we mainly recommend this treatment for: people with a "sad look" or heavy eyelids: patients who feel that their upper eyelids are very heavy, but where the real cause is not the eyelid but the descent of the eyebrow.

Patients with asymmetrical eyebrows: those who have one eyebrow noticeably lower than the other.

People looking for natural results: the endoscopic brow lift is especially indicated for those who want to avoid an "operated" look and want a fresh, rested expression.

Executives or people with active lifestyles: as it is an outpatient procedure with a quick recovery, it is ideal for people who cannot afford long periods of time off work.

Key differences:

Traditional vs. endoscopic brow lift

It is vital to understand that the "regular" brow lift and the endoscopic one have different goals:

Traditional brow lift: it is usually recommended when there is a massive excess of skin that requires direct trimming. The scar is small but may be visible near the eyebrow or the hairline.

IDB endoscopic brow lift: it is our preferred option because of its precision. By working from the inside with cameras, the result is more harmonious and longer-lasting, and the scars are completely invisible.

Brow lift price: an investment in specialization

The price of an endoscopic brow lift starts at €4,000. It includes the optical equipment, the surgical team specialized in the face and full postoperative follow-up.

It is important to note that, as this is an outpatient technique, the patient saves on unnecessary hospital costs, investing exclusively in the surgeon's technical mastery.

Why choose IDB for your facial surgery?

Specialization is our greatest guarantee. Because we are dedicated exclusively to facial plastic surgery, we have mastered the lifting vectors that preserve the identity of each face. Having a brow lift at IDB means putting yourself in the hands of a team that leads international conferences and understands that, when it comes to the face, less is more.
