Lipolytic therapy is the injection of active ingredients lipolytic (combinations that aid in the controlled breakdown and mobilisation of adipocytes in areas with localised fat) resistant to diet and exercise.

The clinical indication is accumulations resistant to diet and exercise, not a substitute for a healthy lifestyle. Published studies show a reduction in the volume of the treated area by 15-30% upon completing the full plan.
The treatment is carried out entirely in the medical consultation of the Instituto de Benito in Barcelona or Madrid, in an outpatient session designed and always performed by a registered aesthetic doctor. It consists of the following steps:
Before the treatment, an assessment is carried out with the aesthetic doctor of the Instituto de Benito. They study your case, listen to your objectives, rule out contraindications and design a personalised plan. The first aesthetic medical visit has a cost of €50 (deductible from the first treatment).
The preparation is simple: the area must be clean and free of creams. The doctor will advise if it is advisable to avoid any medication (anticoagulants, NSAIDs) in the days prior to minimise bruising, and discuss with you any relevant circumstances for your safety.
The doctor disinfects the area, applies topical anaesthesia if necessary and performs the microinjections with very fine needles or cannula, following the designed plan. The session is carried out entirely in consultation and the patient resumes their routine immediately.
The results appear within the expected timeframe for the treatment, with a natural and harmonious finish. The doctor provides you with home care instructions and schedules follow-up appointments.
The final price depends on the area or areas to be treated, the product or cocktail used, and the number of sessions the doctor recommends after assessment. The first aesthetic medical consultation costs €50 (deductible from the first treatment). We offer financing for prolonged treatments and packages.
Lipolytics / lipolytic therapy is indicated for individuals in good general health who meet one of these profiles. Final suitability is confirmed by the doctor after a personalised assessment.

Patient safety comes before any aesthetic result. Lipolytic therapy should not be performed —or should be postponed— in the following cases:

Lipolytics are a safe treatment when performed by a registered doctor in an authorised centre and with approved medical products. Even so, every medical procedure has a profile of possible effects that it is honest to share with you.
How Instituto de Benito minimises these risks: 100% registered medical team, single-use instruments, products with medical CE and batch traceability, asepsis protocols, dedicated aesthetic medicine room and personalised follow-up between sessions. We never delegate the procedure to non-medical staff.
If after a session you experience intense pain, fever, marked local heat, suppuration or nodules that do not subside in 7-10 days, contact the clinic immediately.
