The anti-wrinkle treatment at the Instituto de Benito is a medical-aesthetic procedure based on a medical neuromodulator that temporarily relaxes the muscles responsible for dynamic expression wrinkles (those that appear when gesturing) on the forehead, between the eyebrows, and crow's feet. It is one of the most sought-after treatments in aesthetic medicine due to its speed, tolerance, and the naturalness of the result when applied by an experienced doctor.
Where can we treat them?
Horizontal forehead wrinkles appear when raising the eyebrows. Botulinum toxin helps to soften these lines while maintaining the naturalness of expression, avoiding a rigid effect.
This is one of the most treated areas. The vertical lines that form when frowning can give an angry or tired appearance. The treatment allows this muscle to relax and softens the expression, achieving a more rested look.
These wrinkles appear when smiling or gesturing. Botulinum toxin manages to reduce them without losing the expressiveness of the gaze, providing a fresher appearance.

The treatment is carried out entirely at the Instituto de Benito's medical consultation in Barcelona or Madrid, in an outpatient session always designed and performed by a licensed aesthetic doctor. It consists of the following steps:
Before the treatment, an assessment is carried out with the aesthetic doctor at Instituto de Benito. They study your case, listen to your objectives, rule out contraindications, and design a personalised plan. The first aesthetic medical visit costs €50 (deductible from the first treatment).
A technology based on high-resolution medical ultrasound that allows for an in-depth study of the skin and tissues.
Preparation is simple: the area must be clean and free of creams. The doctor will advise you if it is advisable to avoid any medication in the days prior to minimise bruising, and discuss any relevant circumstances for your safety.
The doctor disinfects the area, applies topical anaesthesia if necessary and performs the microinjections with very fine needles, following the designed plan. The session is carried out entirely in consultation and the patient resumes their routine immediately.
The results appear within the timeframe planned for the treatment, with a natural and harmonious finish. The doctor provides you with home care instructions and schedules follow-up appointments.
Standard treatment €390 · One-off treatment €275. The final price depends on the area or areas to be treated, the product or cocktail used, and the number of sessions the doctor recommends after evaluation. The first aesthetic medical consultation costs €50 (deductible from the first treatment). We offer financing for extended treatments and packages.

The medical neuromodulator used in the anti-wrinkle treatment is authorised by the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices (AEMPS) and by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) for aesthetic use in adults, with decades of accumulated clinical evidence. The Spanish Society of Aesthetic Medicine (SEME) includes it among the most studied facial medical-aesthetic treatments and establishes specific guidelines for dosage, technique and informed consent that we follow in each session. It is only administered through prescription and direct medical application.
The effect of the anti-wrinkle treatment lasts between 4 and 6 months. To maintain the result, it is recommended to repeat the session every 4-6 months.
The first effects are visible in 3-7 days, with the optimal result at 14 days after the session.

The anti-wrinkle treatment temporarily relaxes the muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles (those that appear when making facial expressions). The hyaluronic acid filler adds volume and fills static or structural wrinkles. They are complementary: many patients combine both. The anti-wrinkle works on the forehead, frown lines, and crow's feet; hyaluronic acid on grooves, under-eye circles, lips, and cheekbones.
According to scientific literature collected by SEME, over 95% of patients see a clear improvement in dynamic wrinkles 14 days after treatment. A small proportion (≈1-3%) are less sensitive to the neuromodulator due to antibody development; in such cases, the doctor adjusts the protocol.
The doctor evaluates your natural facial expressions during the consultation (asks you to make expressions: raise eyebrows, frown, smile) and decides the injection points and dose based on the strength of your muscles, the depth of your wrinkles, and your aesthetic goal: subtle preventive effect, moderate softening, or more marked result.
The optimal result appears at 14 days. If you have a wedding, a professional event, or a photo session, plan the session 2-3 weeks in advance so that the initial swelling (minimal, lasting hours) has already subsided and the effect is consolidated.
