What is the facial bio-revitalisation treatment?

Facial bio-revitalisation restores hydration, radiance, and firmness to the skin through microinjections of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid, vitamins, amino acids, and antioxidants. Designed for skin that has lost vitality due to age, sun, fatigue, or stress.

Bio-revitalisation can be applied to the following areas:

Face bio-revitalisation (cheeks, forehead, and facial contour)

Bio-revitalización de rostro (mejillas, frente y contorno facial)

Cheek bio-revitalisation

Bio-revitalización de mejillas

What does Bio-revitalisation involve?

The treatment is carried out entirely in the medical consultation at the Instituto de Benito in Barcelona or Madrid, in an outpatient session always designed and performed by a registered aesthetic doctor. It consists of the following steps:

01

Personalised medical assessment:

valoracion personalizada

Before the treatment, an assessment is carried out with the aesthetic doctor at the Instituto de Benito. They study your case, listen to your objectives, rule out contraindications, and design a personalised plan. The first aesthetic medical visit costs €50 (deductible from the first treatment).

02

Advanced skin analysis with NESAI:

ecografia

A technology based on high-resolution medical ultrasound that allows for an in-depth study of the skin and tissues.

03

Treatment Preparation:

preparación intervencion

Preparation is simple: the area must be clean and free of creams. The doctor will advise you if it is advisable to avoid any medication (anticoagulants, NSAIDs) in the days prior to minimise bruising, and discuss with you any relevant circumstances for your safety.

04

Treatment Application in Consultation

Poniendose hilos tensores

The doctor disinfects the area, applies topical anaesthesia if necessary and performs the microinjections with very fine needles, following the designed plan. The session is carried out entirely in consultation and the patient resumes their routine immediately.

05

Start Seeing Yourself as You Want to Feel

verte como quieres sentirte

The results appear within the timeframe set for the treatment, with a natural and harmonious finish. The doctor provides you with home care instructions and schedules follow-up reviews.

Pre and Post Facial Bio-Revitalisation Treatment

Before the Treatment

Attend with a clean face and no makeup. Avoid NSAIDs in the days prior. If you have recently had a peel or facial laser treatment, inform us. Good prior hydration enhances the results.

Pre and Post Facial Bio-Revitalisation Treatment

After the Treatment

Small papules at the injection sites that are reabsorbed in 2-6 hours. Avoid makeup for the first 4 hours. Sauna, direct sun, and intense exercise should be avoided for the first 24 hours. The skin appears more luminous from the following day.

Commitment to facial aesthetic medicine

Facial bio-revitalisation is the foundation of any serious medical anti-ageing routine; Instituto de Benito recommends it as a starting point before more structural treatments.

At Instituto de Benito, patient safety comes before any aesthetic goal. We work with audited clinical protocols, medical CE-marked healthcare products and batch traceability, single-use instruments, dedicated aesthetic medicine rooms and personalised follow-up between sessions. We never delegate a medical-aesthetic procedure to non-medical staff.

Medical evidence and support

Bio-revitalisation with non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid is one of the medical-aesthetic treatments with the most accumulated clinical evidence. The Spanish Society of Aesthetic Medicine (SEME) considers it first-line for early skin ageing, with published trials demonstrating objective improvement in hydration, elasticity and luminosity after 3 spaced sessions. The products used have medical CE marking as healthcare products.

Frequently asked questions about facial bio-revitalisation

What is the difference between bio-revitalisation and facial mesotherapy?

Both are injectables. Bio-revitalisation mainly works on hydration and skin quality with non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid and antioxidants; mesotherapy is a broader concept that encompasses a wide variety of cocktails.

How many sessions do I need?

3 sessions at intervals of 3-4 weeks, and maintenance every 6 months.

How much does it cost?

€350 per session. Locations in Barcelona and Madrid.

Difference between bio-revitalisation and facial mesotherapy?

Both are injectables. Bio-revitalisation specifically works on hydration and skin quality with non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid and antioxidants. Mesotherapy is a broader concept encompassing a wide variety of cocktails (depigmenting, regenerating, anti-cellulite, capillary, etc.). Bio-revitalisation is a specific type of mesotherapy.

At what age is it recommended to start?

The SEME recommends starting from the age of 30-35 as a preventive treatment, before visible signs of ageing appear. Started in time, it slows the progression of photoageing and maintains skin quality with spaced maintenance sessions.

In how many sessions will I see results?

Visible improvement from the 2nd session: plumper, more even and luminous skin. Optimal result upon completing the 3 sessions of the initial plan. Maintenance every 6 months.

Can I combine bio-revitalisation with anti-wrinkle treatment?

Yes, they are complementary. The anti-wrinkle treatment works on the musculature; bio-revitalisation works on skin quality. Combining them gives an integral result. They are usually done in separate sessions 1-2 weeks apart.

Is it the same as a skin booster?

They are similar concepts but not identical. Bio-revitalisation usually refers to cocktails with non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid + vitamins + antioxidants. Skin booster is usually low-density hyaluronic acid alone. The difference is nuanced and often the terms are used interchangeably.
