Price: €70

For:
Tired face and tense jaw
Duration:
30 minutes
Technique:
Manual, no needles or devices
Kobido is a Japanese manual facial massage technique. It alternates fast movements with deep pressure on the facial muscles and boosts circulation, with no needles or devices.
The word Kobido (古美道) literally means "ancient way of beauty"
The techniques tone the muscle and give a natural tightening effect. It is subtler than a facelift and needs no surgery.

Deep work on the muscle and tissue improves skin firmness and elasticity.

Stimulating the muscles helps soften them and slow down new ones.

It boosts circulation and gives you a fresher look the same day.

The techniques release the tension built up in your jaw, forehead and neck.
€70 for a 30-minute session. That is the final price.
To maintain the effect, one session every 2 or 3 weeks is usual.
You book with €50, which is always deducted from the treatment; if it costs less, we refund the difference. We ask for this deposit because treatment room places are limited.
You can buy it at the clinic or online, and you can also give it as a gift card.
It is for you if any of these sound familiar:
Expression lines are starting to show.
You want it to look brighter.
You clench your jaw or your forehead and neck feel tight.
No needles or devices, adapted to your skin.
We do not do it if there is an infection or an open wound on the skin, a significant skin condition or sensitive skin, or right after certain medical treatments on the face. If you have had one recently, let us know before you book.

Sessions are carried out by the Instituto de Benito wellness specialists. Before starting, they assess your skin type and the condition of your facial muscles to adjust the intensity of the techniques to you.

«For me, Kobido is manual architecture»

It lasts 30 minutes and starts with cleansing your skin: if you are wearing makeup, it is removed then. Next come the massage techniques, alternating fast, light movements with deeper pressure on the muscles. We work on the forehead, eye area, cheekbones, jaw, neck and décolletage.
Hands only, no needles or devices. It does not hurt: the intensity is adapted to you.
When you leave, your skin will look brighter and your face less puffy; that effect usually lasts one to two weeks. You can put on makeup and go back to your routine right away.
At our Barcelona clinic, at Avinguda Diagonal 490. Wellness treatments are only available in Barcelona.

You can see an improvement in skin radiance and firmness from the first session. For longer-lasting results, we recommend an ongoing course of several sessions.
It usually lasts 30 minutes, enough time to work the facial muscles in depth and get a natural lifting effect.
No, Kobido massage is not painful. It is a manual technique with different intensities, always adapted to each person so it is effective and pleasant.
For maintenance, we recommend one session every 2 or 3 weeks. For a more intensive treatment, sessions can be more frequent at the start.
Yes. The cases where we wait or do not do it are listed at the end of "Is it for you?". If you have any questions, ask us before you book.
Yes, at our IdB clinic you can buy a Kobido massage gift card, a nice way to surprise someone with a wellness and facial care experience.
Kobido massage suits most skin types, as long as there are no contraindications, because it is personalized to each case, on both young and mature skin.
A conventional facial massage mainly works on the skin and aims to relax you. Kobido also works the facial muscles, with fast techniques and changes of rhythm and intensity. The goal goes beyond relaxation: it aims to tone the muscle and boost circulation.
Because Kobido originated in Japan and its tightening effect is reminiscent of a facelift, without surgery. It does not replace a surgical facelift. The result is subtler and needs to be maintained with regular sessions.
The radiance and less puffy look show the same day and usually last one to two weeks. For the change in firmness to last, you need to keep it up, with one session every two or three weeks.
Yes, but it is best to wait. After botulinum toxin or hyaluronic acid injections, we recommend waiting at least two weeks before the session so the product does not shift. Let us know if you have been treated recently.
No need. The session starts with cleansing your skin, so if you are wearing makeup it is removed before we begin.
