Hyaluronidase is a medical enzyme that dissolves previously injected hyaluronic acid. It is used to correct asymmetries, overcorrections, migrations, nodules, or unnatural results, and in aesthetic emergencies. It must be administered only by a qualified medical professional.

The treatment is carried out entirely in the medical consultation at the Instituto de Benito in Barcelona or Madrid, in an outpatient session always designed by a registered aesthetic doctor. It consists of the following steps:
Before the treatment, an assessment will be carried out with the aesthetic doctor at the Instituto de Benito. We will study your case, listen to your objectives, rule out contraindications, and design a personalised plan for you. The first aesthetic medical visit will cost €50 (deductible from the first treatment).
A technology based on high-resolution medical ultrasound that allows an in-depth study of the skin and tissues.
The preparation is simple: the area must be clean and free of creams. The doctor will advise if it is necessary to avoid any medication (anticoagulants, NSAIDs) in the days prior to minimise bruising, and discuss with you any relevant circumstances for your safety. Before application, it is recommended to perform a test dose on the forearm and assess the response after 20 minutes.
The doctor disinfects the area, applies topical anaesthesia if necessary, and performs the microinjections with a very fine needle or occasionally with a cannula, following the designed plan. The session is carried out entirely in consultation and the patient resumes their routine immediately.
The results appear within the timeframe planned for the treatment, with a natural and harmonious finish. The doctor provides you with home care instructions and schedules follow-up reviews.

The final price depends on the area or areas to be treated, the product or cocktail used and the number of sessions the doctor recommends after assessment. The first aesthetic medical visit costs €50 (deductible from the first treatment). We offer financing for prolonged treatments and packages.
Hyaluronidase is indicated for people in good general health who meet one of these profiles. The final suitability is confirmed by the doctor after personalised assessment.
When a filler has resulted in unevenness between the two sides.
When too much product has been applied and the result is excessive.
When hyaluronic acid moves outside the desired area (typically in lips or cheekbones).
When palpable or visible accumulations of the product form.

An aesthetic doctor from the IdB team assesses whether the dissolution of the filler is necessary and the correct indication, deciding on the dose and area based on the previous product and the result to be corrected.

Hyaluronidase is an enzyme recognised by the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices (AEMPS) and by the Spanish Society of Aesthetic Medicine (SEME) as a correction and safety tool in aesthetic medicine. Its availability in any centre applying hyaluronic acid is considered a safety standard by international aesthetic medicine guidelines. SEME recommends that no treatment with hyaluronic acid be carried out in centres where hyaluronidase is not available for use in case of emergency.

It primarily dissolves the exogenous hyaluronic acid (the injected one). The endogenous one is slightly reabsorbed and regenerates naturally within a few weeks.
