What does cruroplasty (thigh lift) involve?
An incision is made in the groin crease and, when there is more sagging, it is extended along the inner thigh. Through it the excess skin is removed, fat is taken out with liposuction if needed, and the tissues are tightened. It takes 2 to 4 hours, under general anesthesia. There are three variants: mini or localized, full, and combined with liposuction.
The scar sits in an area of friction and moisture, so it heals less well than on other parts of the body and needs more care. We talk this through calmly at the consultation. The technique, risks and contraindications are on the cruroplasty page.
How much does a leg lift cost in Barcelona?
From €7,500 (VAT not included). The technique, the size of the area and the operating time all affect the price, and we give you the figure in writing after the first consultation. Liposuction that was not planned in that quote is not included.

What is the process like if you live in Barcelona?
Everything except the operation takes place at the Diagonal clinic.
First consultation
Dr. Fernández looks at how much sagging there is, the quality of your skin and whether there is fat as well as skin, and decides with you whether a mini lift, a full lift or a lift with liposuction suits you. Any circulation problems in the legs are assessed beforehand. It costs €80, deductible from the surgery.
Preparation
Pre-operative tests, included in the price. No smoking for four weeks before and four weeks after.
Surgery day
You are admitted to Clínica Diagonal, operated on under general anesthesia and stay one night. You leave wearing a compression garment on your legs.
Recovery
Wound care and check-ups at the Diagonal clinic. For the first few days, walking, sitting and climbing stairs are hard, and swelling in the thighs and ankles lasts for weeks. Allow 2 to 3 weeks before returning to social life. The rest of the aftercare advice is on the thigh lift page.

What if I live outside Barcelona?

How many nights to stay in the city after your hospital stay, how many visits to make and on which dates is something we agree with you after that consultation, because it depends on your case and where you are traveling from. Travel and accommodation are not included in the price. If you are coming from another country, you can get help from the international unit.
