In Madrid, implant replacement is performed by Dr. Lucrecia Villanueva, a plastic surgeon specializing in breast surgery (Medical license no. 282871279). At the first consultation she checks the implants you have and explains whether it makes sense to replace them, change the size or remove them. It does not matter where you had your first surgery.

The implant replacement procedure is done at Hospital San Francisco de Asís, in Chamartín, and you go home the same day. Consultations and check-ups take place at our clinic on Calle Serrano. From €7,000 (VAT not included), with the exact figure in writing after the assessment.

To book an appointment, call 650 53 83 77. First consultation, €80; video consultation with the doctor, €50. In both cases they are deducted if you have surgery.

Who will replace my implants in Madrid?

Dr. Lucrecia Villanueva, a specialist in Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery who leads breast surgery at our Madrid clinic. She does the assessment, the replacement and the check-ups.

She trained at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and spent more than five years of hospital training in plastic surgery at Hospital General de Agudos Dr. Cosme Argerich. In Madrid she also performs breast augmentation, breast lift and breast reduction.

Her profile includes cases of augmentation with anatomical implants and of tuberous breasts.

What is done in implant replacement surgery?

Your current implants are removed and, in the same operation, new ones are placed or the breast is reshaped. Access is almost always through the old scar. If the capsule around the implant has hardened, known as capsular contracture, it is removed fully or partially; if the implant has shifted, the pocket that holds it is corrected.

The operation takes between one and two hours under general anesthesia and can be combined with a breast lift. Reasons, types and risks are on the page about breast implant replacement.

How much does breast implant replacement cost in Madrid?

From €7,000 (VAT not included). The figure depends mainly on the new implant, on whether the capsule has to be removed and on how the previous surgery went.

It covers fees, the implants and materials in the quote, day hospital, anesthesia, tests, dressings and check-ups with the doctor. Medication after discharge and the post-surgical bra are paid separately. More details on the page about breast implant replacement and payment options under financing.

Where will I have surgery and where are the check-ups?

At Hospital San Francisco de Asís (C. de Joaquín Costa, 28, Chamartín), with a qualified anesthesiologist. After a while under observation you go home, so come with someone: you will not be able to drive.
