This is how Paola Olmedo's face has changed: Dr. Sada's treatment

The entire procedure was virtually planned by Dr. Álvaro Sada himself, without outsourcing the planning, which allowed for a completely personalized surgical strategy. The first intervention, lasting approximately 4.5 hours, took place on February 7, 2025. This individualized approach makes a difference compared to many orthognathic surgeries performed in Spain, by prioritizing technical precision and facial harmony from the planning phase.

Subsequently, in January 2026, a second surgery was carried out to make an adjustment and optimize the final result, following the planned evolutionary path within the overall treatment.

Five weeks after the surgery, Laura focuses part of her account on the state of the scars, especially the vertical one that goes from the nipple downwards, which was the one she feared the most before the operation. She describes the work of Dr. Marina García, from the Instituto de Benito, as "a work of art," assuring that the scars are barely noticeable despite the short time since the intervention.

In her daily life, she states that dressed, she doesn't feel that her essence or the way she sees herself has changed, which was an absolute priority for her. As the weeks go by, she perceives her chest becoming softer and more natural, to the point of feeling it as her own and without strange sensations, an evolution that reinforces her satisfaction with the mastopexy performed at this leading medical group.

More confidence and freedom in dressing after the aesthetic operation

Although she acknowledges that "she didn't need" surgery from an aesthetic point of view in photos, Laura explains that she always chose clothes that maximized the appearance of her previous chest, partially limiting her wardrobe options. After the intervention at the medical group, she states that she now has many more options to dress and that "everything looks good on her," which translates into greater creative freedom when constructing her looks and an improvement in her personal confidence.

Why did you decide to have surgery?

Paola Olmedo: The reason was mainly medical, not aesthetic. I had a misaligned jaw, a small palate, and it was affecting both my hearing and digestive system. It was something that was worsening over time and needed to be resolved for health reasons.

What made you trust Dr. Sada?

Paola: Above all, the calmness he conveys. He gave me a lot of confidence from the very first moment. He is very meticulous, very perfectionist, and pays a lot of attention to every detail. That made me feel very calm throughout the process.

How was your experience during the operation and postoperative period?

Paola: I handled the operation quite well. As for the pain, it was much less than I expected. The postoperative period was not as physically tough as I imagined, although emotionally it was a challenge due to the significant change in my face.

Did you find it difficult to adapt to your new image?

Paola: Very much. At first, I didn't recognize myself. I was very swollen and everything had changed, especially from the eyes down. It's difficult to see yourself different every day. Over time you start to assimilate it, but it has been a long process.

How has your environment reacted to the change?

Paola: My close environment also found it difficult to get used to it. There are even people who don't recognize me at first when they see me after a while. It's a strange situation, but little by little we have all adapted.

What has been the most difficult and the most positive aspect of this stage?

Paola: The most difficult part was not recognizing myself at first. The most positive is that I look better and, above all, that in terms of health, I have noticed a huge change. I feel more secure and confident than before.

Would you recommend surgery to people going through something similar?

Paola: Yes, as long as it is for health or to improve your well-being. Often it's scarier to think about what they're going to do to you than the process itself. Then the postoperative period is not as severe as it seems and, if it's for improvement, it's worth not delaying it.

Question: How do you feel currently?

Paola: Now I feel much better. Enough time has passed for me to recover, and I feel ready to face new challenges. I no longer have the doubts I had at the beginning.

After the extreme surgery that Paola underwent, the impact was not only personal but also familial. The physical change was so radical that her own mother did not recognize her at first, even thinking she was not her daughter, a reaction that led to a very emotional moment and tears of surprise. Her children have also not fully come to terms with her new image, reflecting how difficult it can be to adapt to such a significant transformation.

José María and Carmen Borrego, as Paola explains, have been in contact with her after the intervention, showing interest and support during the process. In general, her closest circle has experienced the transformation with a mix of surprise, impact, and gradual adaptation, as the change has been very evident and requires time to get used to.

Despite the initial shock, her family's final reaction has been positive, highlighting how beautiful they find her and accompanying her in this new stage after an operation motivated by medical reasons.
