In Carmen's case, there was an accumulation of fat and a notable sagging of the platysma muscle, a muscular band located under the neck skin that can lose tone over time. "The priority was to define," noted the surgeon. To define a neck that, due to its characteristics, was thick and would continue to be so, but to which a more harmonious and streamlined angle could be provided. To achieve this, the specialist made a small incision under the chin, through which he worked on the central area. This tiny scar (practically imperceptible after the first month) allowed the suturing of the musculature, creating a more defined cervicomental angle and extracting the accumulated excess fat.

The procedure was completed with carefully concealed lateral incisions following the tragus and hidden behind the ears. From there, the neck was detached from side to side and the musculature was tightened from the nape, in what is technically known as a cervical lift.
